My current calling in the Vernal 10th ward is the Activities Chair. Tonight was our activity night. We had a great turnout. Three people. We decided about 3 months ago that we would be having a movie night. This is a pretty easy activity to plan. The hardest part is choosing the movie. Well, Brian Green suggested that we watch Remember the Titans.
This is a GREAT movie so that became the new plan. I know that because I'm in charge and I didn't ask anyone to help bring stuff I needed to get the treats and take the movie to the church. As usual my life is a little crazy and I had other obligations tonight so I was dogsitting, helping my sister, Claire, getting the treats, having dinner with my family, and trying to get to the church by 7:00. I was really worried that people would be waiting there when I got there. I was so wrong. I was the first one there and then Maria came. We were the only two for a minute so we went and got the TV from the library and when we got back Kristy was there. We decided to all call someone and by doing this Kristy was asked to dye someone's hair so she left. Jared, however, did come. Now the count is up to 3 and it's 7:30. So we started the movie. At about 9:00 one more person showed up. What a fabulous activity! Did you notice not one single member of the bishopric showed up to support us. That is why I love my calling. By the way the Church just bought me enough sugar to keep me awake for about two weeks. This stinks. How do you get people to come?????

I can't belive that there were only 3 people that showed up! That really STINKS I am so so so so so sorry! If I was in town I would have come. You are so lucky that you get to see Claire though and her cute little girl Isabel.
Try having an open bar. That always works for me. ;)
