Cow-a-bunga

Yesterday, after school, Raydean Deets brought me this cute cow bank. She said that she saw it and had to get it for me. Then she proceeded to tell me that Randon wanted to keep it and she wouldn't let him because they were going to give it to Miss Arnold, cause they're "cool like that". Poor kid has to give up his cute bank to his stinky Kindergarten teacher. Thanks Randon!!! Isn't it adorable?

Who wouldn't want to keep it?

Gone Digital

I can't believe it!!! I actually made a cute header for my blog!!!!! Unbelievable! At first, I have to admit, I was very frustrated. I've heard that digital scrapbooking is easy. This may be true for those who have logged many, many hours playing with their computer. I've been trying to sneek a minute here and a minute there to figure it out. I finally conquered the machine. Sort of. I hope you enjoy the new blog. Hopefully it will get even cuter over the next few weeks.

Disneyland

A couple of weeks ago when I wished my friend, Robyne, Happy Birthday she invited me to go with her, her mom (Darlene), and her Aunt Shawna to Disneyland for the weekend. I told her no at first because we were supposed to have an activity and Linger Longer that weekend, which I am in charge of. Then her mom told me that I had to go because it was for Robyne's birthday. So I changed my mind and got ready for California and the warm weather.

I left Thursday after school and drove to Melissa's house. We had dinner and chatted. I hadn't seen her for awhile and it was good to catch up with her. She's so funny.

Friday we headed to Orange County Airport. Then a quick taxi ride took us to Disney's Grand Californian hotel. While we were standing in line to check in I looked over and saw...........John Stamos. I didn't think that it was him at first and then he walked right past us and I knew. I went to reach for my camera and that is when I realized that I had forgotten it in my classroom. Bummer.

Then we headed off to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Next it was on to Disneyland!!!!! We took the lightrail into Disney. It dropped us off by the Matterhorn ride so that is where we started our first session of rides. That night we watched the new parade. Here is a picture of Robyne and I waiting for the parade to start:

The next three days were a blur. Rides, getting wet, walking our feet tired, rides, and food. The lines were really not that long. I think the longest wait was 40 minutes. Which we only waited that long on one ride. My list of favorite rides definitely includes: Indian Jones, Splash Mountain, Grizzly Rapids, and Space Mountain. However, my all time favorite ride is Soarin' Over California. I rode that ride seven times. It is the absolute best!! Here is a picture of the four of us the last time we rode it.

Another highlight of the trip was watching Aladdin on Stage twice. I love watching shows live on stage. I love the way Disneyland looks. The tulips were in full bloom. They were so beautiful.

When it was time to go home we headed off to the airport in a mini van taxi, driven by a man with a turban. When it was time to go through security I forgot to empty the change out of my pocket and so I got searched at the airport. Wow, what a thrill!!! When we were sitting in the airport just a couple of chairs away was Jimmy Osmond. We snuck this picture of him:

I love going to Disneyland!!!!

Found!!!

I didn't tell one single person about this blog because I am the biggest dork in the world and just needed a place to write down my dumb thoughts. I didn't think that anyone would look at it. It made me feel good that somebody found me, thanks Janice. I also have secretly checked out all of yours. He He He. I love looking at all of your pictures. They are great!!! Now I'm going to have to keep up with writing on this on a regular basis. I do however have to warn you that any blog that follows may be rediculous in their dorkiness. You have been warned. :)

Random Thoughts By Emily

There are a few random things that I would like to post:

1. Maureen and Matt gave me the coolest picture frame for Christmas. It is a digital frame that holds 15 pictures. They show as a slide show. Maureen loaded pictures of their family onto it. I love, love, love it!!! There are pictures of those cute babies, the whole family + Crazy Grandma, the older girls. Each picture makes me smile.

2. Last night I played Guitar Hero for the first time and it was so much fun. I averaged a 79%. I played over at Travis's house. I love Travis. Here's a picture of him with my friend Melissa:

3. Now Melissa: she is my crazy friend from New Orleans whom I love dearly. She is living in Tooele, UT now and I miss her.

Roomies

I got a new roommate. Her name is Chelina Diaz. She is a recent convert to the Church. She told me that she's from a crazy Mexican family. Chelina moved here from Pasadena, CA and she is freezing. She seems really nice, she's only been here for two days. It's kind of refreshing to be around someone who is excited to be in Vernal. Woo Hoo I also only have to pay $325 in rent now. I'm way excited about that.

New Years Resolutions

This year I'm really going to focus on a couple of things.
1. Studying my scriptures. I'm using the Preach My Gospel book to help guide my study.
2. Writing in my journal. I won a brand new journal at the Institute's New Years Eve Party and decided that I'm going to fill it up this year.
As of now I'm doing really good sticking to my goals, but heck it's only Jan. 3rd.

I decided that I needed to just attack a couple of resolutions at a time this year so I can actually change something about my life. Obviously, I think that my spiritual life is struggling a bit. I'm not comitting any major sins, yet I also don't think that I'm growing any either.
