Disneyland

A couple of weeks ago when I wished my friend, Robyne, Happy Birthday she invited me to go with her, her mom (Darlene), and her Aunt Shawna to Disneyland for the weekend. I told her no at first because we were supposed to have an activity and Linger Longer that weekend, which I am in charge of. Then her mom told me that I had to go because it was for Robyne's birthday. So I changed my mind and got ready for California and the warm weather.

I left Thursday after school and drove to Melissa's house. We had dinner and chatted. I hadn't seen her for awhile and it was good to catch up with her. She's so funny.

Friday we headed to Orange County Airport. Then a quick taxi ride took us to Disney's Grand Californian hotel. While we were standing in line to check in I looked over and saw...........John Stamos. I didn't think that it was him at first and then he walked right past us and I knew. I went to reach for my camera and that is when I realized that I had forgotten it in my classroom. Bummer.

Then we headed off to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Next it was on to Disneyland!!!!! We took the lightrail into Disney. It dropped us off by the Matterhorn ride so that is where we started our first session of rides. That night we watched the new parade. Here is a picture of Robyne and I waiting for the parade to start:

The next three days were a blur. Rides, getting wet, walking our feet tired, rides, and food. The lines were really not that long. I think the longest wait was 40 minutes. Which we only waited that long on one ride. My list of favorite rides definitely includes: Indian Jones, Splash Mountain, Grizzly Rapids, and Space Mountain. However, my all time favorite ride is Soarin' Over California. I rode that ride seven times. It is the absolute best!! Here is a picture of the four of us the last time we rode it.

Another highlight of the trip was watching Aladdin on Stage twice. I love watching shows live on stage. I love the way Disneyland looks. The tulips were in full bloom. They were so beautiful.

When it was time to go home we headed off to the airport in a mini van taxi, driven by a man with a turban. When it was time to go through security I forgot to empty the change out of my pocket and so I got searched at the airport. Wow, what a thrill!!! When we were sitting in the airport just a couple of chairs away was Jimmy Osmond. We snuck this picture of him:

I love going to Disneyland!!!!

Wow, you make me want to go again. I went for the first time when I was I think nineteen, so you think I would remember a lot of it. I don't think I remember more than two things... When Easton and Ian get a little bigger, I think it will be fun to take them. You also got to get out of this freezing cold!! What I wouldn't give to get out :)

Hi Emily! I actually know your friend Robyn! I can't remember her last name. Something like Osteveen (spelling?) or something. I went to high school with her. You'll have to ask her if she remembers me (by my maiden name Cook). Looks like my little sister Kristi knows you as well. She's also a digi-scrapper and knows photoshop very well. She might be able to give you some pointers, too.
Thanks for letting me snoop on your blog.
