I do have a floor in my basement and a "baby wall" also but those pictures are on my camera at home. I can't believe that I am slowly getting work done on my house it seems like it is taking eons. I promise that I will post a little more often and keep you all updated.

Baby Aaden
A couple of months ago my brave, baby sister had a little boy. His name is Aaden Jade Owens. Here is a picture of my little hero and her baby. What a champ.
After Aaden was born mom called Shannon and I and we rushed down to the hospial. He was so adorable and he had hair. We couldn't believe it. Claire's little Isabel had really fine blonde haire and you could hardly see it. Here's the lovely picture of me with Aaden. (I look adorable too! Not even.)
His shirt says that he's 100% kissable and that is so true!!
So I realize this post is a little late but I just had to show my friends my newest little nephew.

Roommate & Halloween
About six weeks ago I miraculously got a new roommate. Her name is Rebecca and she is our school's new dance teacher and she is awesome. I would post some pictures but I've seemed to misplace my camera (either alone or with the help of some sticky-fingered students). She is so much fun. She recently ran a marathon in St. George and qualified to run the Boston Marathon. YIPEEE!!!! She has tried for quite awhile to qualify.
Friday USU had a Halloween party and Becca and I went with a few more friends and we had a blast. She made me dress up. I was a train conductor and she was Rosie something from the World War 2 posters. We had a ton of fun dancing the night away. Once again no pictures due to no camera.

Hmm
I know that it's been a long time since I've blogged, but that's because I don't really have anything to blog about. I guess some stuff has happened in my life in the last couple of weeks let's see....
First of all we bought my mom and dad season tickets for BYU football games for their anneversary last year and instead of just 2 tickets we got 4 so I've gotten to go to quite a few of the games. (And my friend Robyne has season tickets and she took me a few times also.) Can I just say that I am a huge fan of football. It is so much fun going to a game and watching the players crash into each other, watching the home team win, and feeling the excitement in the air. I love it! BYU had the longest winning streak until last Thursday so it was fun to watch because they won all of their home games thus far.

Second I had some of my guts pulled out. Last Monday I had my galbladder removed. This is technically my second surgery, but my first was when I was 6 months old so I don't remember that. I was so scared!! The day before my surgery was Fast Sunday and I fasted for all to go well and when my Dad gave me a blessing and told me to not be affraid that everything would go right I knew that I needed to have faith that priesthood blessings come from God and not my Dad and after that I was all right. Even when they told me that the doctor wouldn't be in until 10:00 and I was supposed to have surgery at 8:00. I stayed calm the whole time, usually I freak out over everything medicine wise. On Thursday I stopped taking the drugs and I'm not in pain. My scars itch a little but that's all.
That's all I can think of right now.

Michigan
Last Tuesday night the Fourth grade team headed out for a PLC Conference in Michigan. I was excited because I've never been to Michigan before. Tuesday night we drove to Salt Lake and stayed the night there because our plane was leaving at 7:00 A.M. from Salt Lake. We spent the majority of that day either in an airport or on a plane. When we finally arrived in Detriot we rented a car and left with instructions on how to find our hotel "the big brown building we couldn't miss". Oh yeah we missed it and in the process of finding it we got honked at twice, I believe. That night we ate at a really nice Italian place that we paid out the butt for. The next day after class we decided to go for a little drive to find a place called Belle Island. This drive took us through downtown Detroit.
When we finally got to Belle Island and parked you could see Canada.
In this beautiful park there was lovely wildlife. Mary made a comment about a squirel and I said where and when I looked this is what I saw:
For those of you unaware of what is strange about this picture let me ask you a question. What color are the squirels that you've seen? Me? Only tan and grey. This one is black. They all are black. CRAZY!!! Also in this park is this beautiful waterfall.
The Fourth grade team: (Me, Mary, Judy, Dorraine)
Mary insisted that Judy and I hug this tree for a picture stating that we would just love it, it was going to be our favorite picture from the trip. She was a riot!!
The highlight of my trip was that I was looking through a Detroit events magazine and I saw that Celine Dion was going to be in concert on Friday night. I asked the other ladies if they wanted to go and I called and to my delight there were still tickets on the very back row. So three of us went to Auburn Hills to the Celine Dion concert and she was AMAZING!!!

BOWLING!!!
I am bowling on a league again this year, the only difference is that this year it is a women's league not a men's. My team is made up of a few ladies from work. And we are so good. Not really. Our name is "The Pin-up Girls" because, well we leave a lot of pins up. Last night we bowled against Megan's team and we kicked their trash. Thank goodness for handicaps!!!! We so did not kick their trash. We did beat them because we suck and our handicaps are so high. It was so much fun playing with them, until Meg almost flipped out cause they were losing. :) I may be stretching the truth just a little about the fipping out part, but I did tell her I was going to blog about last night cause she hates to lose. Love ya Megan!!

Fourth Grade and McDonald's
It is the third day of school and I'm already much happier. I see the kindergarten teachers just doing the pre-test and not really "working" yet and I would never, never trade back!!! I did remember that there are somethings about fourth graders that bug me, but I'll have to get over that when I remember that Kindergarteners need help blowing their noses, tying there shoes, and not making it to the bathroom. I am a little exhausted. Teaching all day takes it's toll right at first. Hello 10 o'clock bedtime. Overall though Fourth Grade is like McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It".
