Four Wheeling!

I decided that I was going to look through all of my pictures and choose some randomly and write about them on this here blog.  The pictures that I choose this time are from some four-wheeling excursions that we've been on.

Here's one of me and how I feel when we go on super scary rides.  I am the biggest CHICKEN!  I am less of a chicken though when I'm in control of the four-wheeler.

Here's a beautiful picture of my mom and one of my nieces.  (By the way that niece is now turning five so this is a very old picture.)

A little babbling brooke we drove by once.
My brother in law wearing my sister's "sweet shades".
Some of the best times that the Arnold clan have experienced are when we're out riding four-wheelers.

Thinking of Paradise!

Ever wish that you could relive a part of your life?  Right now I'm wishing that I could be back in Hawaii on this beach with these two crazy girls!

This picture was taken the first night we were in Honolulu.  There is just something wonderful about the way the sun looks as it sets over the ocean.
What I wouldn't give to be back in paradise right now!

Bug!!!

This little feller's name is Bug.

Just ask him and that's what he'll tell you.
He is the only little bug that I want to keep around!
I just wanted to remind myself that there is a man out in this big ol' world that loves me.  His name is Bug! And I love him too!

Bear Lake

This summer Michelle, Trevor, Jenn, Jay, Mindy, and I went to Bear Lake for Jay's birthday.  Even though we were at Bear Lake half of the people we were with did not want to go to the actual lake.  WHAT!?  So, one night Trev, Michelle, and I went down to the dock.  It was fun.  Michelle loved feeding the fish!
We had a lot of fun.  One of the best parts was that we made Trevor read us The Help as we drove.  Awesome book!

We also went to the Pickleville Theater.  We watch Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat  and their melodrama.  I had so much fun!

Goal for 2012

All my goals for this year can be summed up in one word: better.  I want to improve a lot of aspects of my life.  I don't think that going to the extreme in any of these areas is even possible so I'm just going to work on being better in many aspects of my life.  For example I don't wear my seat belt and I know that this is dangerous so as a goal I'm going to try to be better at buckling up.  I'm not going to beat myself up for not remembering, but when I do remember that my seat belt isn't on as I drive down the road I'm going to buckle it.
One area that I want to be better is blogging.  I want to be able to share my pictures and what was happening when I took them so that I will be able to remind myself that life is good.  Here goes with the first picture I want to share.
This is my beautiful niece, Payton Anne.  I affectionately call her Little Miss P.  Shannon asked me to watch Little Miss for a bit and the best way to keep P from rummaging through all of my stuff is to take pictures.  I love my Little Miss P! (I think that I'll keep her parents too!)

Here's to the new year!

BYU Football + Mary Poppins = Fantastic Weekend

Friday night started with a drive to Provo to watch the BYU vs. UCF football game.  After watching the cougs get stomped on by Utah I was not in a hurry to get there.  However, I had a ticket and two middle schoolers who needed a ride to the game so I made the journey.  It was worth every second spent in the car and not in my badly disorganized classroom.  The cougars actually pulled through and beat UCF.  (I'm so glad because I love going to the games, they are so much fun!)  After the game Mom and I stayed at the Becthold's house in Lehi.  The Becthold's are a great couple that we knew from Cody.

All that I have to say about that night is that Mom's great air mattress has a hole so we spent a lot of the night with our backs on the cement floor.  Not much sleep was had by us. :(

The next day we got up and shopped a little then we met Shannon and Claire at:

Yummy!!!

Then we walked to the Capitol Theater to watch Mary Poppins:
Can I just say that I LOVED it!!!  So amazing.  My favorite song was "Step in Time".  There are no words to explain the awesomeness of watching a childhood favorite movie being played out live in front of you!!!

All in all the weekend was so much fun, if only I could come home to a clean house.  That would be nice. :)

SUMMER!!

At the beginning of this school year I thought that the end couldn't come soon enough.  I feel like I was handed a challenge that I would not be able to complete.  Here was the challenge: teach 33 students.  The end.  Not only teach them, but help them to have a successful year where they make enough growth to be successful in life.  At times during the year I had glimpses of hope that I was getting through to these kids and then I would have set-backs.  However, at the end of the year I couldn't have been prouder of my kids.     They worked so hard!!  And, I fell in love with ALL of them.  I'm going to miss them this summer, but I welcome the break with open arms!!
